The yak about was originally beginning with a trip to panama with the Trak T1600 in February 2010. However due to some mailing issues the boat arrived late to my client Denise so she was unable to bring the boat to me in panama. the trip still went on without the Trak and you can link to my other blog site http://worldwildadventureexp.blogspot.com/2010/03/reminiscing-coiba.html for a summary of the trip and some photos.
on the positive side of the Trak remaining in Canada is that Denise returned home to play with my T1600 for a few weeks and in the end decided to purchase one herself. may the Trak bug spread.

The 'Yak about has begun.
It is official I am off on a yak about (some would say I have been on one for years already), a journey to adventure with a kayak to cool places that draw me in. "Yak about” is a play on words combining a “walk about” and kayaking. This Concept embraces my Australasian roots ( i am New Zealand Born), my love of kayaking and the spiritual affinity that I find in travel, the outdoors and adventure.
For me personally this will be a journey of discovery, of both; places i have yet to see and of myself.
Thanks Trak for supplying me with the Boat and a chance to see what it can do.
I plan to travel to worldly destinations with my new Trak T1600 folding kayak and paddle the waters that are found there. I also plan to paddle wild water of the rivers in the areas I visit when possible. I will use whatever vessel I can find, thats suitable (if the Trak won’t do) to enjoy the challenge.
this blog will share my experiences with those who wish to look, and celebrate and promote the places, beauty and characters that i stumble across on my way.
