The 'Yak about has begun.

It is official I am off on a yak about (some would say I have been on one for years already), a journey to adventure with a kayak to cool places that draw me in. "Yak about” is a play on words combining a “walk about” and kayaking. This Concept embraces my Australasian roots ( i am New Zealand Born), my love of kayaking and the spiritual affinity that I find in travel, the outdoors and adventure.

For me personally this will be a journey of discovery, of both; places i have yet to see and of myself.

Thanks Trak for supplying me with the Boat and a chance to see what it can do.

I plan to travel to worldly destinations with my new Trak T1600 folding kayak and paddle the waters that are found there. I also plan to paddle wild water of the rivers in the areas I visit when possible. I will use whatever vessel I can find, thats suitable (if the Trak won’t do) to enjoy the challenge.

this blog will share my experiences with those who wish to look, and celebrate and promote the places, beauty and characters that i stumble across on my way.

yes , the trak 1600 is great. I used it for the first time april 4 10 on a lake close to Maniwaki in Qc that was frozen just the day before. The temp was 10 degrees, and the water 5 degrees. It performed very well, and got the trak bug and bought one. I used my own kayak 2 W-E ago on the Ottawa river, and hope to use it next W-E on the St Lawrence river.
so for people who love adventure and mobility this is an ideal kayak
